How to Install Windows from a USB Drive ?

Install Windows from a USB  Drive  with Cmd


Step 1 :- What you need ?

  1. Windows 10 Backup File .iso or  win  backup file from DVD 
  2. USB flash drive with at least 8GB free space. This drive will be formatted, so make sure it doesn't have any important files on it.
  3. Technician PC - Windows PC that you'll use to Boot the USB  drive
  4. Destination PC - A PC that you'll install Windows on

Step 2 :- To create a bootable USB flash drive

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into a running computer.

  2. Open a Command Prompt window as an administrator.

  3. Type diskpart.

  4. In the new command line window that opens, to determine the USB flash drive number or drive letter, at the command prompt, type list disk, and then click ENTER. The list disk command displays all the disks on the computer. Note the drive number or drive letter of the USB flash drive.

  5. At the command prompt, type select disk <X>, where X is the drive number or drive letter of the USB flash drive, and then click ENTER.

  6. Type clean, and the click ENTER. This command deletes all data from the USB flash drive.

  7. To create a new primary partition on the USB flash drive, type create partition primary, and then click ENTER.

  8. To select the partition that you just created, type select partition 1, and then click ENTER.

  9. To format the partition, type format fs=ntfs quick, and then click ENTER.

     Important

    If your server platform supports Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI), you should format the USB flash drive as FAT32 rather than as NTFS. To format the partition as FAT32, type format fs=fat32 quick, and then click ENTER.

  10. Type active, and then click ENTER.

  11. Type exit, and then click ENTER.

  12. When you finish preparing your custom image, save it to the root of the USB flash drive.

Step 3 :- Now Copy win10 Files Using Windows 10

  1. Plug the USB flash drive directly into an available USB port. ...
  2. Navigate to the files on your computer, copy win10 backup files transfer to the USB drive.












3.  Right-click on the all files of win10 backup, then select Copy.
4.  Go to the Bootable USB drive, right click and select Paste.



Step 4 :- Install Windows to the new PC
  1. Connect the  bootable USB drive to a technician PC.

  2. Turn on the PC and press the key that opens the boot-device selection menu for the computer, such as the Esc/F10/F12 keys. Select the option that boots the PC from the USB  drive.

    Windows Setup starts. Follow the instructions to install Windows.

  3. Remove the USB flash drive.
